Julie's retirement ceremony was today, 3 November, 2004. The ceremony was performed by Major B.J. Sanchez who flew in from Washington, D.C. to perform the honors. MSgt B.J. Jones and Shari Terry sang a wonderful rendition of the National Anthem and Julie's father, Harold Jones, gave the invocation. Maj Sanchez reviewed Julie's career and the many wonderful things she did, especially in the last three years. She was presented with a Meritorious Service Medal, and then the retirement orders were read and she was presented with an Air Force Retirement Pin. She also received many nice gifts from her friends and collegues from within the command and from other agencies. Most of the pictures I took did not turn out well, but hopefully we will get some pictures from someone else more talented in the photography department ;)
